Water baptism is an important moment in the life of any follower of Christ. Baptism is a public declaration of one’s faith and a commitment to be a part of the body of Christ or the Church. Baptism is a symbol for sure, but it goes much deeper. By believing that we are truly “buried with Christ in baptism” and raised with Him into life, baptism becomes a powerful moment of faith as Christ continues to redeem, renew, and restore those who would follow Him. We don’t take it lightly or treat it as a ceremony at Hope City. It’s far more important than that.
